To challenge Reliance Jio, Airtel had launched a very affordable 169-rupee carbon A40 Indian smartphone in partnership with Carbon Mobiles a few weeks ago. Now the company has made such a partnership with the domestic smartphone manufacturer Selcon.
The name of this smartphone is the Selcon Smart 4G smartphone. It is a dual SIM Android smartphone with a market price of Rs 3,500, whose effective price is Rs 1,349 for the customer.
Airtel Celkon 4G smartphones will be available in retail stores across the country. Customers will be able to buy this phone at Rs 2,849. Airtel will pay Rs 1,500 as cashback and there is no need to return the phone for this. To get cashback, customers will have to recharg Rs 169 every month for 36 months every month.
