New Delhi. Reliance Jio's high speed fiber home broadband service can be launched soon. With this, the Geo TV service will also be launched. First it will be launched in 30 cities. Live in tier 2 and tier 3 cities will reach out to 100 million households through this. Planning to reach 50 million households in the company's first phase.
Geo has so far generated 120 million (12 million) 4G wireless subscribers. The company has laid out the line of optic fiber over 3 lakh kilometers across the country.
Mukesh Ambani's company Reliance Jio has changed the entire telecom market. Since the arrival of Geo, the data is getting cheaper as well as voice calling is getting free on most networks. Now Reliance Jio can launch home broadband service soon. Preparation of Geo TV service too.
The speed of the Geo Fiber Broadband will be up to 1Gbps. This means that it will take 2-3 seconds to download a movie. To get Geo Broadband, a security money of Rs 4,500 will be required. This amount will be refundable. It will be accompanied by a router. Live TV will be used through this same router.
Geo Home has already done broadband testing in 10 selected cities. This includes cities like Mumbai Delhi Ahmedabad Jamnagar Surat and Vadodara. According to media reports, Geo's target is to earn monthly up to one thousand rupees per user. The TV series will also be offered along with it.
